To meet this demand, VereQuest has compiled a network of customer experience “connoisseurs” that includes employee/executive coaches, trainers, actors, consultants, advisors and industry experts for any size of engagement and in any industry sector.  We operate our business according to the same principles we preach — “fewer, better people” — which is why our coaches typically have an average tenure of 5+ years.

Sharon Oatway

Sharon is the Owner, President and Chief Experience Officer of VereQuest and an accomplished customer service, marketing and operations professional with success in start-up, turn-around and rapid growth situations. Sharon provides leadership in day-to-day operations as well as adds particular expertise in direct marketing, strategic planning, customer journey mapping and general business consulting.

Prior to starting VereQuest in 2002, Sharon held a number of leadership roles in financial services, telecommunications, travel, information technology and advertising with a number of leading N.A. brands. During this time she lead teams that launched two of Canada’s first direct banking operations, the first deregulated long distance contender and an early entry into internet-based travel.

ENGAGEMENT
KIRK DUNN

Kirk is Vice-President of Customer Engagement and a Leadership Coach. Kirk’s goal is to help companies align Customer Service and Sales delivery with their company branding and promises. He is skilled at communicating and explaining nuances in how we communicate to gain the greatest level of customer engagement. Prior to his 10+ years at VereQuest, Kirk worked as a role-player and executive coach.

Kirk got his start as an actor for theater, film and TV. He has also written award-winning children’s plays which have been performed across Canada and the U.S., and has written kids’ television for broadcasters such as YTV, TVO, PBS, Treehouse, Family, Nickelodeon, and PBS. A curious fact: Kirk played the lead in ‘The Adventures of Dudley the Dragon’, a children’s TV show where he acted and sang inside an eight-foot-tall green dragon suit. During his three seasons playing Dudley, the show earned a Gemini Award for Best Children’s Series.

Customer Insight Coaches

It is important to note that all VereQuest Coaches come to us via referral. As a result, we have a roster of very talented individuals with a broad range of experience in both coaching and role-playing. Our Customer Insight Coaches approach every engagement from the customer’s perspective — translating the insights gathered through our data and observations into actionable recommendations and meaningful insights. Many of our Coaches are working actors, artists or performers and are able to leverage their considerable abilities to direct and craft a better experience for customers and employees alike.
